Records in Plugg can be easily duplicated. When you duplicate a record in Plugg, you can decide whether you want to create a copy of the original record in the same app or in a different app (this last option is similar to the Import value feature but there are a few keys differences, as explained below).

When creating a copy, you can also decide whether you want a complete or partial copy of the record, and if you also want to copy any linked information.

Start by opening the record you want to copy and click on the copy button:

Select the app for which the new copy will be created — it can be the same app as the original record or a different app. The original record will be on the left side of the panel, while the duplicate will be on the right side:

Select the fields/values you want to copy and leave blank any fields you don't want to copy (the system will remember your selection for the next time, but you'll still be able to edit and make changes).
Once you are done selecting and matching fields you can preview your new copy and make changes if you need to. When you are done click on Save to create your copy. You can decide if you want to save your copy, save and open it, or save it and link the copy to the original record.

If the original record has any linked information, you can also copy the linked information into the duplicate record, before saving, by clicking on Copy Linked Apps. Choose which information you want to copy and select which method you want to use:
  1. Create a copy and link will create a copy of all linked information and will link them to your duplicate record – this way the original record will be linked to the original linked information and the the duplicate will be linked to a copy of the linked information.
  2. Link Existing will link the information to your duplicate record without copying them – this way the original record and the duplicate will be linked to the same information, and changes made to the linked information will affect both the original record and the duplicate.
